Oriol, who shares the same last name as first team legend Sergio, is close to joining the Dutch side on loan

There's been no rush from FC Barcelona when it comes to finalising the futures of Juan Miranda and Oriol Busquets. It was important not to make any mistakes for two players who, despite not being ready for the first team at Barça, are considered key parts of the club's future. Both are expected to complete loan deals in order to gain more experience in competitive football.

BUSQUETS IS ON HIS WAY TO THE EREDIVISIE

The Barça B midfielder, who most see as the natural substitute to the man who shares the same last name as him, has received plenty of offers this summer. Udinese wanted to buy Oriol but the player, alongside the club, decided to turn down that proposal. The majority of interest came from the Eredivisie with Utrecht and FC Twente pushing the hardest to secure a deal. In the end, the player opted for Twente's offer.

The season-long loan deal is practically complete with only minor details needing to be signed off. Busquets will join the newly-promoted side and find three former Barça players in Javier Espinosa, Aitor Cantalapiedra and Julio Pleguezuelo, alongside another Spaniard José Matos. Twente are unbeaten after three matches having won one and drawn their other two matches.

MIRANDA IS CONSIDERING HIS OPTIONS

It's been a busier summer for Miranda and the young left-back has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus. However the offer was considered far too low and, just like with Oriol, Barça didn't want to lose a potential star. Olympique Marseille wanted a loan for Miranda but couldn't guarantee the full back playing time.

After turning down various other proposals, the closest to sealing a deal is Schalke 04. The player is still considering his options and could even join Busquets in Holland by playing for Utrecht.
