Brazilian Gustavo Maia shines with brace in latest Barça B win

Summer signing Gustavo Maia scored twice on Saturday as Barcelona B made it three wins from three with a 5-0 victory over L’Escala on Saturday. 

Brazilian youngster Maia, who joined the club for €4.5 million, showed signs that he's already adapted to his new surroundings with a brace, including a stunning volley. 

Garcia Pimienta's side took the lead on the half-hour mark through Matheus but had to wait until the second half for the flood gates to open. 

Gerard added the second in the 47th minutes before two strikes from the impressive Maia sandwiched a goal from defender Mingueza. 

Barça B's next friendly is next Saturday when they host Badalona at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, kick off 18.00h local time.
