Braithwaite's departure depends on Harry Kane's situation at Spurs

The striker has a pre-agreement with London rivals West Ham, but is understood to prefer a move to N17

Barça and West Ham have reached a preliminary agreement for the transfer of Martin Braithwaite, but the Danish international has asked for some time to make his decision. While he has an offer on the table from the 'Hammers', they are not at the top of his list.

If Harry Kane leaves Tottenham Hotspur to join Manchester City this summer, as has been rumoured, Spurs would look to sign two strikers to replace him. Braithwaite is on the list of candidates to replace Kane at Tottenham, who are now coached by ex-Valencia manager Nuno Espiritú Santo. His solid displays at this summer's European Championship did not go unnoticed in England, and despite the fact that Spurs have a long list of possible replacements for the league's top scorer, the Barça forward is amongst the favourites.

Barcelona consider Braithwaite's departure to be a priority this summer, and the player remains on the transfer lift. While Barcelona would like to get the player off their books as soon as possible, the player has asked for some more time to consider his future now that a move to Tottenham might be on the cards.
