He came on for Griezmann in the 71st minute and did reall well

Barcelona's new signing Martin Braithwaite enjoyed an impressive debut on Saturday as the Catalans beat Eibar 5-0 at Camp Nou.

Braithwaite came on for Antoine Griezmann for the final 20 minutes and was involved in the fourth and fifth goals, scored by Lionel Messi and Arthur Melo.

Messi ended the game as the star after netting four goals in total but it was also a good afternoon for Braithwaite, who joined the club from Leganes for 18 million euros on Thursday.

He was given a warm reception when he came on by the Camp Nou crowd and coach Quique Setien purred about his display after the game.

"Braithwaite did more than I expected, much more," Setien said. "Honestly, I think we have made an extraordinary signing. He will adapt perfectly to what we do, he was involved in two goals today and he understands the game so well."
