Braithwaite: I feel proud and honoured to be Barcelona's No.9

The Danish striker took part in a Q&A on Twitter on Friday

Martin Braithwaite is, without doubt, a happy guy. Proof of that is that he organised a Q&A session from his personal Twitter account on Friday.

One of the questions he was asked was about inheriting the No.9 shirt at Barcelona from Luis Suarez, as confirmed by the Catalan club this week.

"I’m really honored and proud," he said. "So many great players have worn that number in the past. But wearing the badge of @fcbarcelona will always be special for me."

After Barça failed to sign Memphis Depay from Lyon, Braithwaite is the only No.9 at the club available for coach Ronald Koeman and he's desperate to make the most of his chance.

When asked about his objectives this season, the Danish international replied: "To win trophies and to be the best version of myself."

Another interesting answer came when he was asked about working with one of Koeman's new assistants, the former Barça striker Henrik Larsson.

"I used to watch him as a kid and to be able to work with him now is just incredible," Braithwaite wrote.
