The Barça coach knows strengthening is needed to take the club back to the top

Beyond getting the best out of the players he has, Xavi is aware that to fight against Europe's biggest teams, Barcelona need to strengthen. To take Barça back to the top, though, depends on many things.

Knowing that, the coach has spoken abut the club's planning for next season ahead of Tuesday's LaLiga game against Celta Vigo.

The days continue to pass and Barça have still not managed to close any of the financial agreements that could ease their cash crisis.

"It will depend on the financial situation," Xavi said. "Even if we want something, if we don't have the money, we will have to take another path. That's obvious, but it's the cruel reality."

Departures

With respect to departures, and if anything could change in these final three games, Xavi was very clear: it's going to be very hard to change things now.

"We're quite clear in that sense," the coach said. "It's difficult now to change an opinion in three games. Later we will see what we can do."

With Champions League football secured for next season, the team has a new objective for these final few matches of the LaLiga campaign.

"We have to finish second to be able to play the Supercopa," Xavi said. "If we manage that, we will play with less tension, but without giving up the fight. Recovering the sensations, insisting on the model of play and winning."
