He will miss a German Cup game against Rielasingen-Arien
Borussia Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc announced that striker Ousmane Dembélé has been punished for missing training on Thursday.
According to the German club executive, "Ousmane Dembele missed Borussia Dortmund training unjustifiably and obviously he took a conscious decision to take that step. This bad behaviour should be punished without doubt."
He confirmed "We have decided to suspend the player who is still in Dortmund despite information which claims differently. After consulting the coach we suspended him from training and playing until after the cup game at the end of the week" (August 12, vs Rielasingen-Arlen).
