Borussia Dortmund defender Meunier linked with Barcelona
Dest has been mentioned as a possible makeweight in any deal
Thomas Meunier is the latest footballer to be linked with a move to Barcelona this January, per a report from the journalist Gerard Romero on his Twitch channel.
The operation is in the very early stages and, according to Romero, could see Barça's Sergiño Dest move in the other direction.
Barça and Borussia Dortmund, Meunier's current team, have still not defined the conditions of the Belgian's possible arrival at Camp Nou.
It's not clear if it would be a straight loan or one with an option to buy, while Dest's name has also come up in talks, although Barça would like to keep him until the end of the season.
On the other hand, it's unlikely Dortmund will let Meunier leave. He's played over 2,000 minutes this season across 24 games, scoring two goals and setting up five.
He has just missed four games due to coronavirus and two due to muscle injuries. He has a contract until 2024.
