Barça will have to find another solution for the former Juve man this summer

Miralem Pjanic's loan move to Besiktas is not going as planned and the midfielder will return to Barcelona at the end of the season, with AS reporting the Turkish club will not ask to keep him either on loan or permanently.

The Bosnian has just returned to action after being sidelined with an injury for two months. However, things have not gone as he hoped, with his last two appearances coming off the bench.

In comments to reporters, Besiktas sporting director Ceyhun Kazanci affirmed that "we will not continue with him next season."

Pjanic started OK in Turkey. He was an important player at first bit his performances have dipped and injury problems mean Besiktas will look elsewhere after the summer.

He has a contract with Barça until 2024, so will return to Camp Nou and the Catalan club will have to decide what to do with him.

The most likely option is that the player is loaned out again.
