Bernardo Silva rumours heating up again with claims that Barça have rekindled their interest in the Manchester City midfield engine

Having signed Lewandowski and Koundé Barça now set their eyes on the Portuguese player but the transfer will hinge on City signing Paqueta

FC Barcelona are back in for Bernardo Silva, since Manchester City, who had previously closed all doors for his transfer, have changed their stance and are now open to offers. The skyblues have shown interest in Lucas Paqueta of Olympique Lyon. The 24-year-old Brazilian has flourished this year in France and Pep would like to count on his services.

Bernardo, aged 27, had a much better season under Pep after being off the pace the year before. Silva has been offered to both Madrid and Barça, although, as his former Benfica coach Helder Cristovao insisted, the player's childhood wish was to play for Barça. He believes his game would be a perfect fit for Barcelona.

However, to sign Bernardo, for whom City would not accept offers less than 70-80 million euros, Frenkie de Jong would first need to be sold. The club, however, are still trying to either sell him, loan him out or reduce his salary to make some room in the skyrocketing wage bill.
