Bellerín doesn't want Premier League return, turns down Everton

The Barcelona right-back will stay at Camp Nou until the end of the season

Héctor Bellerín is out of contract with FC Barcelona on June 30, 2023 and both parties have already decided that he will fulfill it to the letter.

The full-back did not want to move in the January transfer window and the club is not in a position to incorporate another specialist for that position, either.

Once the season is over, Barça and the player will decide his future, but there is one thing that Bellerín is clear about and that is that a return to the Premier League is totally ruled out.

The player has closed his stage in England, where he was an important player at Arsenal for many years, because his desire is to continue in the Spanish league.

And if that can't be at Barça, the club where he grew up, then he wouldn't mind wearing the colors of Real Betis again. In Seville last season, he once again enjoyed his football and fit wonderfully into the Betis side while on a year-long loan.

Bellerín has had offers this winter to return to the Premier but he rejected them. One was from Everton.

It has not been an easy season for the right-back. Despite the fact that Barça could not secure the signing of Cesar Azpilicueta in the summer and do not have a specialist in Bellerín's position, Xavi is relying more on Araujo and Koundé, two central defenders, to occupy the role.

Bellerín has also had bad luck with injuries as he missed almost all the games in October due to muscle problems.

When he returned to play, he also had irregular performances, but he did not lose hope of having more opportunities in the second part of the season.

On Thursday, against Ceuta in the Copa del Rey, he was at a good level and once again showed that he can be a very valid player to rest other players on the right side.

This season, he has participated in three league matches (Cádiz, Elche and Villarreal), two in the Champions League (Bayern Munich and Viktoria Plzen) and two in the Copa del Rey (Intercity and Ceuta).

In the semifinal of the Supercopa against Betis and the final against Real Madrid, he was left out of the squad.
