The Bavarians don't want to let him go to Barcelona but might have to

Robert Lewandowski wants to come to Barcelona and is going against his club, Bayern Munich, to try and make it happen.

The Bavarians aren’t used to not getting their way and are trying to resist. They have put a 40m euro price on his head, per Bild.

FIFA has the ‘Webster ruling’ which says any player above 28 years old can buy themselves out of a contract three years or more after it was signed. The 40m euros is more than it would cost to activate that.

According to Bild the Webster ruling price could end up being around 24 million euros, far less than the 40m Bayer are asking for.
