Bayern know that Fiorentina’s Amrabat is waiting for Barcelona move
Atletico Madrid would be the Moroccan’s preferred destination if Barça switch fails
Sofyan Amrabat wants to play for Barcelona and could close the doors on other teams while waiting for the Catalan club. The newspaper 'Bild' assures that the player has been approached by Bayern, but that a move to Germany it is not a priority for him because of his desire to wear the Blaugrana shirt. He prioritises playing in Spain and if he cannot do it in Barça he could end up at Atlético Madrid.
The Amrabat option has been on Barça's table since last January. Then, the player could come on loan with an option to buy, but Fiorentina did not accept and vetoed his departure. Now it seems that the Italian club would be willing to sell him for an amount higher than 20 million euros and Barça are studying it, although they have not made a decision because they have several open negotiations.
Xavi Hernandez is clear that he needs a pivot of the highest level and expects Barça to bet high with a large investment, but the most prominent names are practically unaffordable. Amrabat remains as the most plausible option although everything will depend on the sales that the club is able to generate.
In any case, it seems that the Moroccan player is waiting for Barça in the hope of signing. Atletico have also expressed their interest in him and they would be hissecond option in the event of not being able to join Barça.
