Lewandowski has drawn interest from Barcelona, who want a striker this summer

Bayern Munich coach Julian Nageslmann says striker Robert Lewandowski will remain with the Bundesliga side next season.

Lewandowski is out of contract in 2023 and has not yet signed a new deal with Bayern, therefore drawing interest from Barcelona, who want a striker this summer.

The player is open to a near experience after a decade in Germany, but Nageslmann has played down the chances of the Poland international leaving.

"Lewy has a contract and will continue with us," he said in a press conference ahead of Saturday's game against Borussia Dortmund, Lewandowski's ex-side.

Barça are interested because, at the age of 33 and with just a year on his deal, he's a cheaper option than Erling Haaland.

Reports suggest he would command a fee of around 40 million euros, an elevated amount but more assumable for the Blaugrana, who need a No.9 to satisfy Xavi's needs.
