Bartomeu hopeful of bringing Victor Valdes back to Barcelona
The president confirmed the club will make the ex-goalkeeper an offer
Josep Maria Bartomeu revealed that he wants Victor Valdes to return to Barcelona to coach within the club's academy.
Ser Catalunya made the revelation just over a week ago and Bartomeu has now confirmed that Barça want to bring the former goalkeeper back.
Valdes now has all his coaching badges, having completed them alongside Xavi Hernandez at Las Rozas recently. He is currently heading up the youth section at ED Moratalaz.
Bartomeu said: "I spoke with Valdes a few days ago and he said to me: 'Presi, is it not time to come home?'
"I responded by telling him to give me a few days to think about how we can fit him into the new structure. We will make him an offer in the coming days."
