They have two outs and two ins they are looking at resolving

The transfer window is soon going to close and Barcelona, who have been very active in it, are looking at solving four open cases before January 31.

They have loaned Jeison Murillo from Valencia and Kevin-Prince Boateng from Sassuolo, as well as tying up Frenkie de Jong from Ajax. They also sold Munir El Haddadi to Sevilla.

However Barcelona are looking at two possible outs - Denis Suarez and Malcom - and two possible ins - Adrien Rabiot and Jean-Clair Todibo.

DENIS

The Galician isn’t in Valverde’s plans. The obstacle is that he wants to play in the Premier League and Barca will only accept that if he is sold, or loaned with an obligatory option to buy.

Sevilla and Real Betis have bid for him but Denis wants to go to Arsenal, with coach Unai Emery whom he knows. The Blaugrana want 20m for him.

MALCOM

Malcom, a ‘club signing’ and not one Valverde asked for, is not getting games. He’s played just 447 minutes this season, appearing in 12 of 33 games, behind Messi, Suarez, Dembele, Coutinho and now Boateng. Not what was expected of the 41m summer signing from Bordeaux.

Guangzhou Evergrande have bid for the 22 year old but he is too young to give up on his European adventure.

Malcom is more interested in loan offers from AC Milan and Arsenal. But Barca will only accept a loan if there’s the obligatory option to buy in there.

RABIOT

The soap opera not just of Barca’s window, but the whole market. Rabiot is refusing to renew his PSG deal and was dumped in the reserves, not called up since early December to the first team.

The player can walk away in the summer but Mauricio Pochettino from Tottenham has called. However with De Jong’s arrival Rabiot is not a priority for Barca any longer. They still think he’s a good player and the club’s offer is on the table for him to join for free in the summer, but Barcelona aren’t going wild to get him.

TODIBO

Barca have signed the French defender from Toulouse but what they are trying to do now is unblock him. Toulouse, angry he will walk away for free in the summer to Barca, have put him in the youth team despite him being a first team quality player.

Barca are trying to reach a deal with Toulouse to let him play or go on loan, or join Barca early by paying a small transfer fee.
