Barcelona's three plans to help register their new signings

The Catalans have work to do but are hopeful of the players being onboarded officially

Barcelona believe LaLiga will accept the numbers they will present before the league starts to register their signings and contract renewals.

In the case La Liga doesn’t, then the club has plans up its sleeve.

The fourth lever can be pulled; selling another 24.5 per cent of Barça Studios to GDA Luma for 100 million euros, the same formula they did with Socios for the first chunk. That is likely to happen.

They have two more moves. One is a new contract for Gerard Pique, who will lower his salary significantly. Pique will sign a new deal until 2024, the same year his current one runs to, but for a lower wage.

Busquets will also take a pay cut. His deal ends in June 2023 so it’s a bit trickier, but he is willing to help.
