They are trying to bring in the Real Betis full-back for 15-20 million euros

Barcelona have marked out signing a left-back as a priority. The board believe Jordi Alba needs competition and they want Real Betis's Junior Firpo. Barcelona will focus their efforts on signing the Dominican defender, although are keeping other options open like Phillip Max (Augsurg).

Junior is liked by the board and by coach Ernesto Valverde. The club offered the coach Marc Cucurella but Valverde says he doesn't fit the profile he wants. So Barca sent him to Getafe.

Barca are negotiating with Betis and the intention is seal a deal for between 15-20 million euros. The Andalusians want more but Barca believe a deal can be reached. In any case Betis are willing to sell him and have already signed Pedraza from Villarreal as a replacement.

The Catalans wanted three players, a forward (Griezmann) a CM (De Jong) and a left-back. They are closing in on the last of those three.
