The two sides want more time to analyse the options currently on the table

The meeting planned for Monday between Barcelona and Ilaix Moriba's agents has been postponed until Wednesday to give both sides more time to consider the options on the table.

Ilaix, who has been removed from the first team setup in the meantime, is waiting for a breakthrough in negotiations to be able to join up with Ronald Koeman's squad.

However, the postures of the two parties remain distant. Ilaix's camp feel Barça's offer is too low given the other clubs that have knocked at their door.

Barça's first offer was rejected and now they're waiting to see what's been made of their second offer, with Ilaix's current terms up in the summer of 2022.

Wednesday will be a key day to see if the two sides are any closer to reaching an agreement to prolong the young midfielder's Camp Nou stay.

Barça, steeped in financial problems, don't believe he should have the salary of a star having only just broken into the first team.
