The heavyweights would love him to sign for the club
Barcelona's squad will not get in the way of Antoine Griezmann joining. Quite the opposite. The French international is one of the players that the heavyweights in Ernesto Valverde's side rate most of all.
The players know his signing would add quality to the group and help them grow their chances of winning titles. After Neymar's departure the club tried to compensate by signing Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho, both of whom seem to need time to adapt and may explode onto the scene next season.
By contrast Griezmann would need no time to adapt - he knows the league and the language perfectly well. The dressing room thinks he would be a luxury reinforcement. And he is great friends with Samuel Umtiti, his France team-mate and Barca's centre-back. Umtiti thinks Griezmann would fit Barca like a glove.
