Barcelona's doubt with the re-signing of Dani Alves

| sport

Right now the club aren't planning to take Alves up on his offer

Dani Alves ended his contract with Sao Paulo on September 16 and is without a team. The Brazilian, 38, is in Barcelona and has been linked to a return with the cub. He says he’s available if they want him.

Nobody doubts he’s the best right back in the club’s history but the club see him as not that likely of a signing, even though he would give character to the team at low cost.

They think the return of the Brazilian would be a step backwards and want to keep leaning on La Masia for players. The defender would take game time from Sergino Dest and Oscar Mingueza.

Right now, Barca don’t envisage signing him up again.
