Barcelona's attack breaks down ahead of Copa trip to Real Madrid

Lewandowski and Dembele will both miss the game at the Bernabéu, as will Pedri

Xavi is not one for upsets. Every time Barcelona have to face big matches, one of those for which the team must arrive in the best possible condition, an unexpected setback throws the coach's plans into disarray.

It happened in the Champions League with the injuries to Kounde and Araujo, and also before facing Manchester United in the Europa League, with the absence of Dembélé, to which was added that of Pedri through injury in the first half of the first leg.

Gavi was also absent for the second leg. Now, ahead of the Copa del Rey derby against Real Madrid, Lewandowski is also out.

In any case, considering that Xavi usually uses a scheme with four midfielders, it would be logical for Raphinha to appear on the right wing and for Ferran Torres to play as the central striker.

Ferran played one of his best games as a Barça player in last season's 0-4 win at the Bernabéu. If both start, Gavi would be reserved, on paper, for the position he usually plays as a false left winger.

The options for that left flank also include, logically, giving Ansu Fati the opportunity to vindicate himself at the Bernabéu. We will have to see how fit he is for such a demanding game.

The sensations in his last few appearances have not been entirely positive. Dembélé is still injured, so he is not an option.

Ángel Alarcón, who has been getting minutes since his arrival in the first team, is an option, although in his case he is more likely to be a second-half substitute if necessary.
