The youngster wants to go out and play regular football this season

Barcelona midfielder Alex Collado is set to join Belgian side Alex Collado on a season-long loan.

Collado was an unused substitute in Saturday's win over Stuttgart and Barça confirmed Sunday that he had been given permission to leave the club's camp in Germany.

"Alex Collado is leaving the team's training camp, with permission from the club, pending a resolution over his future," the club said.

Collado, 22, said earlier this summer that he would not return to the B team and that if he could not get minutes for the first team, he would look elsewhere.

He played 45 minutes against Gimnastic de Tarragona last month, scoring a goal, and another half an hour in the win over Girona.

However, with the competition for places in midfield and attack in Ronald Koeman's squad -- Collado's a versatile player -- he has decided to go out on loan.

Collado, who debuted for the first team under Ernesto Valverde, has a contract at Camp Nou 2023.
