The forward has been playing through the pain barrier in recent weeks

Concern at Futbol Club Barcelona. For a few weeks, Ousmane Dembele has had a problem with his pubis that has led to him finishing matches in pain. Conservative treatment has so far proven unsuccessful.

Dembele's struggled with injuries since joining Barça. However, this season he has remained injury-free and has become a key part of Ronald Koeman's side.

Unfortunately, in the last few weeks, he's been playing through the pain barrier, with the international break only serving to worsen the problem.

Barça's medical team and physios have designed a specific plan for him to follow and, away from the training ground, with his personal trainer Salah Ghaidi, he's also doing specific work to alleviate the problem.

The good news is it hasn't prevented him from playing for Koeman's side and hasn't led to anything more serious.

Drastic measures have been ruled out and surgery has not been contemplated. Dembele is focused on playing and being at his best. He knows the most important phase of the season is to come.

In addition, the European Championships are also around the corner and he's just broke back into the France squad. The pubis needs a rest, but Dembele's not thinking about stopping yet.

At Barça, there's concern about what could happen in the future.
