The forward has done well on loan at Osasuna and could bring in a good fee
Barça are already working flat out to finalise the planning of the squad for next season and are accelerating sales in order to capture vital income for new signings. The Catalan club are clear about the departures and they will also bet on the sale of Abde, a player on loan at Osasuna, as long as a tempting offer arrives. The door is open for him to leave and they are working on it.
Abde signed for Barça two years ago from Hercules for two million euros. It was a bet of the then sporting director, Ramón Planes, and the Moroccan footballer made his debut with the first team under Ronald Koeman due to the lack of players. The arrival of Xavi and the incorporations sent him back to the reserve team and this season he has starred in a loan spell at Osasuna.
In principle, Barça wanted Abde to return to evaluate him during pre-season, but that will only happen now if an offer does not arrive first. In any case, the Moroccan knows that it is very difficult for him to get minutes and the club is no longer willing to loan him out again.
Barça's main objective is to try to sell him with an option to buy him back, although it is complicated that the operation can happen in this way. The interested teams, mostly from the Premier League but also from the Bundesliga, want him in full ownership if they make an investment and the Blaugrana need big sales. They are already listening to proposals so the player is on the market.
Abde had the illusion of returning as long as he could be protagonist in Barça. If he is not going to have minutes, he also understands that the best thing is to look for a team that bets for him. Everything could accelerate in the next few weeks and a sale before 30 June is not ruled out.
Xavi believes that the player is still very irregular and understands that Yannick Carrasco is a more solvent bet for experience and characteristics to play on the left wing.
