Barcelona will reactivate the signing of Eric Garcia
The Manchester City defender is poised to join the club in the summer
New Barcelona president Joan Laporta is getting to work in the transfer market. One deal that is on the table is Eric Garcia, with the Man City defender set to join in the summer for free. He is likely to be the club’s first signing. The player has waited patiently to arrive at zero cost when his contract expires.
Laporta has all the contract details and knows this will be a good opportunity. He’s already a Spain international and wants to play for the club, despite receiving various other offers with better money.
The new technical team will be formed by Mateu Alemany and most likely Jordi Cruyff. Ramon Planes is valued by Ronald Koeman and his future is not yet known. He helped seal the pre-deal with Eric Garcia and has stayed in contact with him during the past few months.
