Barcelona want eight million euros from Getafe for Alena
The Catalan midfielder is doing well there and they'd like to keep him
A month ago Angel Torres spoke to SPORT. The Getafe president was clear. “We are very happy with the performance of Carles Alena. If he won’t be used at Barca next season, we will try and get him to stay here.”
In other worse, Getafe will try and buy Alena this summer when his loan is up at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
Barcelona don’t think selling Alena to Getafe is a bad option, in fact, they would be happy to. The 23 year old is unlikely to get into Barca’s squad net season. Like with Sergi Roberto, Barcelona believe they can sell him for a reasonable fee. In Alena’s case they would put in a buy-back clause.
Barcelona want to bank around eight million for Alena, who started the present season under Koeman’s command but was loaned out in the winter window. He has a contract until 2022.
At Getafe he’s played 1,277 minutes across 21 games since moving.
