Barcelona use their rebuy option on Marc Cucurella
The player will join training this week after their paid Eibar 4 million euros for the left-back
Barcelona will execute their rebuy option on Marc Cucurella, at Eibar. They have told the Basque club that they will do so. Cucurella was on loan at Eibar last season where he excelled and they used their clause in the deal to buy him, but Barca activated theirs to take him back.
Cucurella will attend Barca training on Wednesday. Eibar paid Barca 2m for Cucu and now the Catalans pay 4m to get him back.
It's not yet been decided what will happen to him - if Valverde wants him in the squad to provide competition for Jordi Alba, or the club will sell him again for more money.
