Barcelona to wear white away shirt during the 2023-24 season

Barcelona will wear white next season. The club's president Joan Laporta approved the decision along with the board a few months ago.

If there is one thing that cannot be disputed it's that Laporta is a brave president. The departure of Lionel Messi, the palancas, the sale of television rights and those season's signings are all risk but have fans are excited again.

Now, Barça will play in white again next season, something they have not done since the 1970s, when they wore the colour a few times. Johan Cruyff even wore it in the 1977-78 season, but every time its return has been insinuated there has been a debate.

There was a discussion at the club before the decision was made but it was approved and sources say they believe the white shirt will be a big seller despite the inevitable criticism. In fact, the first design for the shirt has gone down well with employees at the club.
