Barcelona take note as Man City forward Sterling back on the market

City are ready to let the England international leave the club this summer

Barça have previously been linked with a move for the forward

Raheem Sterling could be one of the big movers this summer. Manchester City's signings of Erling Haaland and Julián Álvarez, coupled with the arrival of Jack Grealish last summer, have made his position at the club unclear. Sterling has never hidden his desire to try another league and his coach, Pep Guardiola, would open the door for him to leave if he so wishes -- as he has done with other players that wanted out.

The Telegraph, therefore, say Sterling is on the market and Barcelona, keeping an eye on all their options as they attempt to remodel their squad have taken note. The England forward was on the table in January, when Barça finally opted to sign Ferran Torres, Adama Traore and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. As Barça work on the signing of Robert Lewandowski, they are also open to other market opportunities.

Chelsea have also shown an interest in Sterling but the player's camp have recommended against a move to Stamford Bridge. Arsenal are also keen but don't have Champions League football and a new country is more alluring. The former Liverpool player would like to play in Spain or Italy.

Juventus could offer him that chance. In France, Paris Saint-Germain could also make a move. Real Madrid, along with Barça, have been linked in Spain. His profile fits what Carlo Ancelotti would like and he is an option after Los Blancos missed out on Kylian Mbappe this summer, especially if Marco Asensio ends up leaving.

Sterling, 27, has one year to run on his contract with City so the Premier League champions would listen to lower offers than perhaps usual for a player that cost them €49m in 2015.
