After starring in Barcelona's win over Villarreal in their opening game of the La Liga season, Ansu Fati explained that he has to take things "little by little" and "live every opportunity with as much excitement as possible."
After scoring two goals in Sunday's 4-0 win against Unai Emery's side, Ansu told Barça TV: "When a forward scores goals, they're always desperate for more and that's what happened to me today. The pass for the first goal from Jordi Alba was really good, I just had to help it in."
With respect to the team's performance in general, the 17-year-old commented that they have "a lot of desire to keep improving and you saw that, above all in the first half. It is the path to follow."
On his connection with Lionel Messi, Ansu added: "Playing with Messi's a dream I have had since I was a kid and now I can do it. He always helps me, gives me advice and I am really happy. He helps me a lot on the pitch but also in training."
