Barcelona sign Senegalese fullback Wagué from KAS Eupen
The 19-year-old played for his national team at the World Cup in Russia and will play for the Barça B side this season
The Senegalese full back Moussa Wagué will sign for Barcelona in the next few hours. The footballer, who is only 19 years old, has arrived in the city this Thursday to undergo a medical before he's officially announced as a Barça player.
The right back, who played for Senegal at the World Cup and even scored a goal, is to be given a place in Barça B but will initially train with the first team. It's a transfer with one eye on the future. The idea is that he'll compete with Nelson Semedo for a starting spot at right back and this would allow Sergi Roberto to move into midfield.
Wague arrives at Barça from Belgian side KAS Eupen where he's played 23 matches for the senior side and another 20 for the reserve team. He's been capped 13 times by his country, including all three of Senegal's matches in Russia.
