The Catalans will get between 25 and 30 million euros for the midfielder

FC Barcelona are close to completing the sale of Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes. Premier League side Everton, where he is on loan this season, are best placed to sign him but there's interest from elsewhere.

Gomes, 25, signed for Barça from Valencia in 2016 for 37 million euros plus add ons. After two tough seasons, he joined Everton on loan for 2.25 million. His contract with Barça runs until 2021 and his release clause is 100 million.

Everton are ready to pay between 25 and 30 million but there's a second club chasing Gomes.

The midfielder has played 23 games in the Premier League and two in the FA Cup after arriving at the English club injured. He started well but his form's been inconsistent since.

He joined the Toffees with two other Baçra players last summer. Left-back Lucas Digne joined for 20 million euros and Yeryr Mina signed for 30 million.

While Digne's been a regular (30 games, 2,521 minutes, three goals, five assists), Mina's struggled to get in the side (14 games, 935 minutes, one goal).
