The Danish defender will arrive from Chelsea for free in the summer

Andreas Christensen's move to Barcelona will be closed on Wednesday. The Chelsea defender's agents will meet with the Catalan club to put the final details in place on a five-year deal that will kick in on July 1, when his current deal with the Premier League club expires.

Christensen's agents have been in Barcelona since Tuesday night after arriving from London. On Wednesday, they will meet with the Barça hierarchy and the club's legal department to draw up the contracts.

Remember that Barça have upped their offer for the Danis international in recent weeks which has helped them win the race for his signature.

Bayern Munich were the other team in the battle after Christensen decided not to renew with Chelsea and not to sign for any other Premier League side, either.

Christensen will become Barça's latest signing for the summer, with Emre Demir and Pablo Torre also set to join the club, although not with such a prominent role from the start.

After Christensen, Erling Haaland and Franck Kessié are Barça's two immediate targets.
