Barcelona see Juventus as a possible escape route for Griezmann
The French forward could be Cristiano Ronaldo's replacement in Italy
Joan Laporta wants to shake the squad up and Antoine Griezmann is one of the names who could be heading for the exit. Barca don’t believe swapping him for Joao Felix is a real option but Juventus may provide the Frenchman an escape.
They need to sign a forward to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, if he leaves, which looks more likely by the day.
In Turin they believe Griezmann could fill that gap. The main problem is that the Italian side, like Barca, is in a bad state financially. That means it might be more likely they loan him while paying his full salary.
Barcelona believe that the arrivals of Depay and Aguero would compensate for the Frenchman leaving.
The player has a contract until 2024 and it’s up to him, really, to decide his future, and not the club. So if he wants to stay, then he will. And for now, it seems the case.
