Barcelona remain absolutely calm over Leo Messi's fitness
The club has confirmed that nothing is being hidden and that he only missed training as a precaution
Although the rumours surrounding Lionel Messi's physical condition haven't stopped since he ended the match against Valencia in discomfort, the club claim they are optimistic about the star's availability for the Clasico Copa against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
On Monday morning, Messi didn't train alongside the rest of the team as a precaution. However FC Barcelona insist that everyone should remain calm regarding the player's status. "There's no concern about Messi," is the message the club told SPORT. The knock which he suffered against Valencia shouldn't keep him out of the match against Madrid.
The real test will come on Tuesday and whether Messi feels discomfort or not. If he's pain free, then he'll be included in the squad for Wednesday. After that the decision will belong to Ernesto Valverde.
