Barcelona release French midfielder Kays Ruiz before end of season
Ruiz's second spell at Camp Nou has come to a premature end
Adios to Kays Ruiz. The French midfielder returned to Barcelona last year after a spell with Paris Saint-Germain but his second stint at Camp Nou ended on Wednesday. Barça confirmed his departure in a short statement.
"FC Barcelona communicated to the French player Kays Ruiz that they are releasing him. Therefore, the midfielder's time in Blaugrana comes to an end," the club said.
Ruiz has not adapted to the demands of Barça B under coach Sergi Barjuan, who has hardly used him this season.
Now, the midfielder, one of the club's big signings for the reserves last summer, will not even finish the campaign with the club.
