Barcelona put pressure on Rabiot with Vidal deal tied up
The Blaugrana will wait until tomorrow for the answer from the French midfielder
Barcelona are working in the same way they worked when they reached a deal with Malcom. In that moment they were negotiating with Willian and pressured Chelsea with the Malcom move to try and lower the price of the deal. It didn’t work and in the end they signed the Bordeaux player. In terms of midfield, Barcelona have told Adrien Rabiot that if tomorrow they have not unlocked his transfer then they will sign Arturo Vidal, with whom they have agreed a deal.
The Blaugrana have decided not to wait any longer because there are few solutions on the market. Barcelona had Rabiot and De Jong as priorities but the Dutchman fell from the list after it was decided he would be better off with another year at Ajax.
Rabiot remained as the priority if he could find a way out of PSG. Now Barcelona are waiting for his answer after securing the Vidal deal. PSG’s player has a big contract renewal offer and is still Barca’s fist hope. If they don’t get a definitive answer from Rabiot they will sign Vidal.
Sources confirmed Vidal is basically set to move and Barcelona just need to give the nod with everything tied up with both the player and Bayern Munich.
