Barcelona are trying everything to force through a deal for Jean-Clair Todibo this month despite their relationship with Toulouse deteriorating after they confirmed they would sign the defender when his contract expires in the summer.
Barça are ready to pay more than two million euros for Todibo to join immediately and are even open to signing a long-term agreement with the French club. Toulouse's academy is very interesting and Barça also like midfielder Ibrahim Sangare, who they've followed closely.
The initial idea was to reach an agreement for Todibo. Toulouse were reluctant, only asking for 10 million euros. Barça refused. If there's no agreement, Barça will only have to pay his development right when he joins in the summer as he doesn't have a professional contract.
As well as cash, Barça have also spoke about a percentage of a future deal, a friendly matc hand even a long-term link between the two clubs. Sangare's a player they have watched for a long time. There are many good players at Toulouse's academy.
Everything remains open and will depend on the good will between the two sides. Barça want to do the deal now because Todibo's been frozen out by Toulouse. They will not play him in the first team because he turned down the chance to extend his contract.
