Barcelona prepare for last Liga clash without Pedri

The teenager is back on the island of Tenerife relaxing with his family

Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona are preparing to face Eibar on Saturday at Ipurua. The game is virtually meaningless, with the hosts relegated and Barca unable to win the title.

Pedri is not training with the squad, having brought forward his holidays with permission of Ronald Koeman and the club.

Koeman may choose to play parts of the team or B side that haven’t featured much.

Pedri is the only player who has featured in each of Barca’s 37 league games to date this season.

He’s had a stomach problem recently, which is why he came off against Celta Vigo, and spent the past few days in Tenerife with his family.

With the Euros on the horizon the rest will do him well if he’s in Luis Enrique’s Spain squad for the summer.

The team will train on Friday before the Eibar game and Ronald Koeman will give a press conference. Barca will fly to Eibar but then come back by coach.
