Barcelona planning for January with idea of only signing a right-back
Dalot, Foyth and Pavard are some of the names on the table
Barcelona have already planned the route to follow in the January transfer window, which will be marked by what the club can do within their salary limit.
After the latest meetings, the top priority is to sign a right-back and to try to step up the revolution of the squad in the summer. If they can also add a deep-lying midfielder in January, they will also consider it, but it's unlikely at the moment.
Barça had also considered a left-sided central defender after Gerard Pique's retirement, with Iñigo Martinez an option, but they are happy with the options they have in the middle and will focus on right-back.
Hector Bellerin was signed as a stop-gap and Sergi Roberto has had injury problems. Neither have contracts beyond this season and Barça want the position sorted.
They have been looking at names for months. They have sounded out deals for Diogo Dalot (Manchester United) and re-opened their interest in Juan Foyth (Villarreal). Pavard (Bayern) would love to come and BArça have him in mind due to his availability and desire to leave Germany.
Two more have also been followed: Frimpong (Bayer Leverkusen) and Wilfried Singo (Torino). The former is almost a midfielder and his price could be prohibitive. There are doubts about the latter due to his age and experience.
However, what is not expected to happen in this market is Bellerín's departure. Despite the fact that there are several interested clubs, he has no intention of leaving and the club will not open the door to him either.
It is true that his options to continue from June are minimal, but the footballer was already aware of this when he signed and the only thing he wants is to extend is his track record at Barça and to look for the future in the summer. Real Betis continues to follow him very closely.
