A large contingent of German fans are already in the city with more expected on Thursday

Barcelona have closed ticket sales for the game against Eintracht Frankfurt at Camp Nou on Thursday to avoid more German supporters buying more.

Per the club, the remaining tickets available for the Europa League quarterfinal second leg will only be available online to members now.

The ticket office will re-open on Thursday at 17.00h, four hours before kick off, but only for the resolution of any possible incidents that may arise around ticket issues.

In line with UEFA rules, Barcelona sent Frankfurt 5,000 tickets, which corresponded with 5 percent of Camp Nou's capacity.

The Bundesliga side received more requests from fans than they had tickets available and many supporters have therefore travelled to Catalonia without tickets.
