Barcelona no longer looking at Joao Felix move

The Portuguese forward is not an option for Xavi and his team

Joao Félix is on the market and Atlético is not hesitating to position him. Diego Simeone, his coach, made it clear on 'Cope' that he would open the doors for him and indicated that Barça could be a good destination for him due to his characteristics.

The striker's agent, Jorge Mendes, has offered him to the Blaugrana club but the operation is not going ahead for now. Joao Félix has not had a good loan spell at Chelsea and there's a lot of doubts about his goalscoring ability. Barça will sign a second striker but the priorities are Aubameyang or Vitor Roque.

It is not the first time that Joao Felix's name has been linked with Barça. Mendes has been close to getting the deal done on at least two occasions, but the little room for manoeuvre that Barça have financially has always put the operation behind them.

Atletico are willing to loan him on good financial terms, but the sporting department and Xavi, although the striker does not dislike him, have already taken other paths.

Barça will bet its biggest investment in the next project on the possible arrival of Leo Messi and on reinforcing the midfield. After the departure of Busquets, the coach is clear that he cannot fail there.

The Blaugrana club is looking for a second striker but everything will depend on the salary limit available and the price of the operations. Vitor Roque has always been the dream as he is a strategic signing with projection and Aubameyang would be the most affordable solution.

If neither of these two operations are possible, which would be difficult, the door would be open to other options such as Joao Félix, but for now it is not being considered.
