Barcelona negotiating with Braithwaite's agent at Citutat Esportiva
Ali Dursun is at the training ground to seal the arrival of the Leganes forward
Martin Braithwaite’s signing for Barcelona could only be a question of hours. The player’s agent, Ali Dursun, arrived on Tuesday at Barca’s training ground to meet the sporting directors Eric Abidal and Ramon Planes, to advance negotiations and seal a deal.
Barca have told Leganes they are interested in the player who has an 18 million euro release clause.
It seems hard for the Catalans to negotiate with the Madrid side to lower that fee, especially after the club’s owner said they would not.
Leganes already lost En-Nesyri to Sevilla for 20 million euros and would be left without a forward for the run-in as they battle relegation.
The Blaugrana want to get Quique Setien a versatile forward to replace Ousmane Dembele, out for six months, on an emergency basis. Angel of Getafe is also an option.
