The right-back could join if Bellerin moves to Sporting this week

Barcelona are working against the clock to try to strengthen before the window closes on Tuesday.

The difficulties that the club are encountering with LaLiga due to financial fair play limits have made them focus their search on a player with projection who would sign for Barça Atlètic first.

According to 'Relevo', the Blaugrana are negotiating with the Los Angeles Galaxy over the loan with a purchase option of their right-back, Julián Álvarez.

The 21-year-old Mexican international would arrive to join the B team led by his compatriot Rafa Márquez, but to be available for Xavi Hernández in the first team, who will need a reinforcement for that right-back position if Héctor Bellerin's departure to Sporting de Portugal ends up being confirmed.

Araujo was on Barça's agenda this past summer when the Blaugrana were looking for a right-back. Finally, they opted for Bellerín, who arrived as a free agent on the last day of the market after terminating the final year of his contract with Arsenal.
