But for him to come - and negotiations are advanced with PSG - it is essential that Coutinho leaves. Barca can only afford Ney’s salary if his compatriot is off the books.
Malcom’s departure helps, freeing up three million euros, and they are working on an exit for Rakitic too. But the 12m Coutinho is making would be the key saving to afford Ney.
