Pjanic has hardly featured under Koeman and is keen to go back to Serie A

Miralem Pjanic's future is away from Barcelona. The Bosnian hoped to play much more than he has for the club but has hardly featured under Ronald Koeman. Therefore, he's open to finding a new home. Pjanic has expressed a desire to return to Italy ahead of offers from the Premier League. There are teams ready to push for him. Juventus would be open to re-signing him, while Inter also need to strengthen in midfield and believe he would provide continuity to a winning project.

Talks have begun between Pjanic's camp and Barça. It's clear it's in everyone's best interests to find a solution, especially if Koeman stay on. Pjanic won't fight against leaving but wants to choose his own destination. The midfielder is well thought of in England, too, where Chelsea have shown an interest. However, he prefers Italy, where he previously played for Roma and Juve after leaving Lyon.

The most attractive option is a return to Juve, especially now Allegri is back on the bench. And Juve feel they made a mistake letting him leave. Inter are going to sell a midfielder and believe Pjanic would be the perfect replacement. He's always done well in Serie A and knows the league perfectly.

A transfer is unlikely because Barça paid 60 million euros for Pjanic. The only options are a loan or a swap deal. In that sense, Barça have always like Rodrigo Bentancur (Juve) and a dream would be De Ligt (also Juve). Inter also have some interesting options for an exchange in what is set to be a different summer as clubs continue to struggle with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
