Barcelona midfielder Aleix Garrido signs new contract until 2025
The youngster made his first team debut at Elche earlier in April
Barcelona have secured the continuity of one of their most prized youth players. After making his debut with the first team while still a youth player, Aleix Garrido has signed a new contract until 2025. The midfielder will become a Barça Atlètic player next season and will have a release clause of €400 million.
The player finishes his time at youth level on June 30 the club have secured his continuity with the reserve team, where he has already played on six occasions. Garrido is one of the most outstanding talents in the Barça youth system and this is his 11th season at the club. Born in Ripoll on 22 February 2004, he joined the club in 2012 at the Benjamín C level and has progressed through the youth ranks all the way up to the Juvenil A.
"I'm very happy," he said. "I just made my debut with the first team, now the renewal.... I hope this lasts for many years. This season I've played for many teams. I'm learning a lot."
