Barcelona meet with Memphis' lawyer to finalise Camp Nou departure

The Dutch forward could join Juventus as soon as this week

Memphis Depay will leave Barcelona in the coming days. His lawyer, Sebastien Ledure, met with the Catalan club on Tuesday to finales the terms of his departure on a free transfer and everything indicates an agreement is close, despite Barça wanting some remuneration for his exit.

Memphis has made it clear he would leave the club if it was as a free agent, as he arrived at Camp Nou, and Barça have prioritised saving on his salary given he will have very few minutes this season. He will join Juventus.

The Dutch forward closed an agreement with Juve before confirming to the Blaugrana he would leave. In Italy, reports suggest he will sign a two-year deal worth €6 million net, which is more than he earns at Barça -- he accepted a lower salary to help push the deal through.

If there is an agreement with Barça, Memphis will immediately travel to Italy to sign the contract. Barca will release some wages but it remains to be seen if this is enough to be able to register Jules Koundé for the match against Real Sociedad or if the salary reduction of one of the captains will also be needed.
