Barcelona may trade players to get Lautaro Martinez

El Barça busca fórmulas para fichar a Lautaro Martínez / | ZML

They and Inter Milan get along well and a formula could be found

Barcelona are prioritising the signing of Lautaro Martinez, but they have to be imaginative when it comes to finding ways to afford Inter Milan’s Argentine striker.

Until March, Inter had no intention of letting Lautaro go. They offered him a contract renewal. Lautaro has a 111 million release clause active between July 1-15, but the Italians know that nobody will be able to pay that now.

Barcelona have always been interested in finding a formula to buy Lautaro, but now up to three players could enter into the deal.

Nothing will be decided until we see if the big European leagues can be finished or not. Barcelona know they will not be the only competitor for him either. Before the crisis, Man United, City and Chelsea had asked after him.

Relations between Barca and Inter are fluid. In January Inter wanted Arturo Vidal, Barcelona were going to help but Alena’s departure on loan made that impossible. The technical directors of both clubs meet occasionally and that can ease things.

Barcelona know that Inter need to reinforce too if they want to fight for the Italian league. There are various players that might interest them. Vidal still is one of them. They also want full-backs, centre-backs and wingers and the deal could be found somewhere in there.

While they don’t want to let their star striker go, if Barcelona come up with the right deal….
